Sewer Cameras with a Sonde: What’s Includedโand What Else Do You Need? (2026)
Compare three sewer camera packages with a sonde: what each includes, which need a separate receiver, screen or phone, and what to check before you buy.
Five angle stop valves compared by connections and maker documentation: push-to-connect, compression, multi-turn, CPVC and washing machine types.
Please note: Product availability and information are based on our research at time of writing and are subject to change. Always check Amazon for the latest details before purchasing. Our assessments are research-based. We compared manufacturer pages, specification sheets and Amazon listings, and we have not run these valves ourselves. Where a manufacturer document was not available, we say so and attribute the details to the listing.
An angle stop valve is the small shutoff mounted at the wall or floor behind a toilet, under a sink, or behind a washing machine: the local valve that lets you cut water to one fixture without touching the rest of the house. It is easy to overlook until the moment it will not turn, and a seized or leaking angle stop is a common surprise during an otherwise routine repair.
This roundup covers five valves built for different jobs: a quarter-turn replacement with a push-to-connect inlet, a 10-pack for multi-fixture work, a traditional multi-turn valve, a quarter-turn valve for CPVC stub-outs, and a valve for a washing machine. That is a different focus than our Push-to-Connect Fittings review, which covers fitting types generally, and our Water Shut Off Valves review, which covers broader whole-house shutoffs. This review does not cover installation steps; follow each maker’s instructions.
โ๏ธ Our Take
The SharkBite Max UR23036 is the best-documented valve here: SharkBite publishes its pressure and temperature rating, materials and listings, so we label it Best Overall as our research-based editorial judgment, not as the result of running the valves. The right pick otherwise comes down to the job: a push-to-connect inlet if you want to avoid soldering, a multi-turn valve if that is what your home already uses, a quarter-turn valve with a CPVC inlet if your stub-outs are CPVC, and a dedicated 3/4 in hose-thread valve for a washing machine. Three items need a closer look before you buy: the EFIELD details are the listing’s own because no manufacturer documentation exists, Amazon’s Eastman 04348LF listing says only “valve” for what is included, and Amazon’s attribute field for the Eastman CPVC valve lists a compression inlet that conflicts with Eastman and the listing title.

Best Overall
SharkBite lists the Max angle stop as a quarter-turn, full-port brass ball valve with a 1/2 in push-to-connect inlet, used on stub-outs coming out of the wall to shut off water to fixtures and appliances. UR23036 is the 1/2 in push-to-connect by 3/8 in OD compression version; SharkBite’s page also lists UR23336 (1/4 in compression) and UR24946 (1/2 in MIP) as other outlet options. SharkBite says the inlet works with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE SDR-9 pipe, and its spec sheet adds that HDPE installations need a tube stiffener sold by the HDPE manufacturer.
The spec sheet gives a maximum working pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 160ยฐF, lists a lead-free DZR brass body with an EPDM O-ring and stainless steel retainer and grab ring, and names ASME A112.4.14/CSA B125.14, NSF/ANSI 14 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and 372 for the Max stops, with listing details available from SharkBite customer service. It gives dimensions of 2.6 by 1.7 by 1.1 in for UR23036 and a 1 in pipe insertion depth. SharkBite says the fitting can be installed on wet lines and rotated after installation; this review does not cover installation steps, so follow SharkBite’s instructions.
SharkBite
Best for: Quarter-turn replacement with a push-to-connect inlet
A quarter-turn angle stop valve with a 1/2 in push-to-connect inlet and a 3/8 in OD compression outlet.
Bulk Pack Option
This listing sells EFIELD angle stop valves in packs of 2, 5 or 10; the version in this review is the 10-pack, with a 1/2 in nominal (5/8 in OD) compression inlet, a 3/8 in OD compression outlet and quarter-turn operation. The listing describes lead-free brass with a chrome-plated finish, use on hot and cold water in residential and commercial settings, and gives UPC as the specification met. The listing’s title now reads VALVE119-10 where earlier copies carried VALVE116-10PCS, so rely on the current listing text and the ASIN rather than the model code.
We found no EFIELD manufacturer page, data sheet or certificate, so the lead-free, finish, UPC and quarter-turn statements are the listing’s own and unverified. A 10-pack suits a multi-fixture job or a remodel; for a single fixture the smaller packs on the same listing, or a maker-documented valve such as the SharkBite above, may be the better fit.
EFIELD
Best for: Multi-fixture jobs and remodels
A 10-pack of quarter-turn angle stop valves with a 5/8 in OD compression inlet and a 3/8 in OD compression outlet.
Best Traditional Multi-Turn
Eastman’s SpeedFlex multi-turn angle compression stop valve in this listing is part number 04348LF, 3/8 in OD by 5/8 in OD (1/2 in nominal), chrome-plated. Eastman describes the line as made with Teflon seats and a brass ball valve mechanism, lead-free compliant for potable water, and designed to control water to fixtures such as ice makers, faucets, dishwashers and toilets. A multi-turn handle takes several rotations to open or close, which is the main difference from the quarter-turn valves in this review.
Eastman’s 04348LF spec sheet describes a solid brass body and Celcon stem, shows a brass compression sleeve and nut in its parts drawing, and lists NSF-61 compliance, UPC approval and low-lead compliance. Amazon’s listing says only “valve” for what is included, so confirm the contents on the listing before you rely on the nut and sleeve. Eastman sells a separate 48290LF version that it lists as less nut and sleeve, which is not this part. The listing offers other sizes under the same ASIN, so check that the 3/8 in OD by 5/8 in OD size is selected.
Eastman
Best for: Traditional multi-turn replacement
Eastman's SpeedFlex multi-turn angle compression stop valve for 1/2 in nominal supply with a 3/8 in OD outlet.
For CPVC Stub-Outs
Eastman’s SpeedFlex quarter-turn angle stop valve in this listing is part number 10729LF, with a 1/2 in nominal CPVC inlet and a 3/8 in OD compression outlet, chrome-plated. Eastman describes a professional-series valve with a brass ball valve mechanism and Teflon seats, lead-free compliant for potable water, designed to control water to fixtures such as ice makers, faucets, dishwashers and toilets. Eastman’s quarter-turn stop valve spec sheet lists a maximum working pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 140ยฐF, lists ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 and 61 for the series, and names a brass 3/8 in compression sleeve and nut among the materials.
This is the valve in this review for CPVC stub-outs. Eastman lists 10729LF as its CPVC-inlet angle stop and lists other inlet types under other part numbers, so check that the inlet matches your pipe. Amazon’s attribute field lists the inlet type as compression, which conflicts with the listing title and with Eastman’s description; we follow Eastman’s. Neither Eastman nor the listing states what hardware is included, so check the listing before you buy, and follow Eastman’s instructions for installation, which this review does not cover.
Eastman
Best for: CPVC Stub-Outs
Eastman's SpeedFlex quarter-turn angle stop valve with a 1/2 in nominal CPVC inlet and a 3/8 in OD compression outlet.
Best for Washing Machines
Washing machines connect with a hose rather than the 3/8 in compression supply line used at a toilet or faucet. SharkBite lists the 25560LF as a washing machine angle valve with a 1/2 in push-to-connect inlet and a 3/4 in hose-thread outlet (its size line reads 1/2 in x 3/4 in MHT), with drop-ear mounting tabs, for installations that have no outlet box. SharkBite says the inlet works with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and SDR-9 HDPE pipe and that the valve is designed for potable water and hydronic heating applications.
The listing describes a quarter-turn valve sold as a single piece; a washer has separate hot and cold connections, so plan for two. Amazon’s thread-type field reads GHT while SharkBite’s size line says MHT, so follow SharkBite’s description and confirm against your washer’s hoses. The listing names Cash Acme, an RWC brand, as manufacturer. This valve is not interchangeable with the 3/8 in compression-outlet stops above, and this review does not cover installation.
SharkBite
Best for: 3/4 in hose-thread washing machine connections
A washing machine angle valve with a 1/2 in push-to-connect inlet and a 3/4 in hose-thread outlet, for installations with no outlet box, per SharkBite.
A quarter-turn valve closes with a quarter rotation of a lever handle, and the handle position typically shows whether it is open or closed. A multi-turn valve uses a round handle that takes several full rotations. Both designs are widely sold; quarter-turn is faster to operate, while multi-turn valves remain common and may match what is already in your home.
A compression inlet seals with a nut and ferrule on a clean, properly cut pipe end. A push-to-connect inlet such as SharkBite’s uses a grab ring and O-ring, and SharkBite lists it for PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE (HDPE with a tube stiffener) with no soldering required. Check the maker’s pipe-material list for your pipe and follow its instructions for either type.
A stop valve inlet is made for one connection type. Eastman lists its quarter-turn stops with iron-pipe, sweat, PEX, press, CPVC and compression inlets under different part numbers, and SharkBite’s push-to-connect inlet lists PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE. If your stub-out is CPVC, a CPVC-inlet stop such as Eastman’s 10729LF matches it directly; confirm the inlet type on the exact part number before you order.
Most fixture-level angle stops use a 3/8 in OD compression outlet for the supply line to a toilet or faucet. Washing machines connect through a hose, so a washer valve has a 3/4 in hose-thread outlet instead, and the two are not interchangeable. Confirm which outlet your fixture needs before ordering; the table lists what each valve in this review offers.
| Job | What this review offers |
|---|---|
| Toilet or faucet supply line | SharkBite Max UR23036 (push-to-connect inlet), EFIELD 10-pack and Eastman 04348LF (5/8 in OD compression inlet), Eastman 10729LF (CPVC inlet): 3/8 in OD compression outlet |
| CPVC stub-out | Eastman 10729LF: 1/2 in nominal CPVC inlet, 3/8 in OD compression outlet |
| Washing machine hoses | SharkBite 25560LF: 1/2 in push-to-connect inlet, 3/4 in hose-thread outlet |
Three listings in this review show why. The EFIELD title has carried two different model codes, Amazon’s Eastman 04348LF listing says only “valve” for what is included while Eastman’s spec sheet shows a nut and sleeve, and Amazon’s attribute field for the Eastman 10729LF lists a compression inlet while Eastman and the listing title say CPVC. Rely on the maker’s part number and page where one exists, and treat details that come only from a listing as unverified. Neither SharkBite nor Eastman publishes an operating or maintenance interval for these valves in the documents we read, so we set none: follow the instructions packaged with your valve, and if a valve leaks or will not turn, ask a licensed plumber rather than forcing it. Our guide to how to shut off water to a single fixture covers every fixture type.

A quarter-turn valve closes with a quarter rotation of a lever handle, and the handle position typically shows open or closed. A multi-turn valve uses a round handle that takes several full rotations. Both are widely sold; quarter-turn is faster.
Often, when the new valve’s inlet matches your pipe and its outlet matches your fixture’s supply line, but follow the maker’s instructions and your local code. If the old valve is corroded, or you are not comfortable working on your plumbing, a licensed plumber is the safer choice.
The manufacturer documents we read for SharkBite and Eastman set no operating or maintenance interval, so we do not either. Follow the instructions that come with your valve, and if one leaks or will not turn, stop and ask a licensed plumber.
Eastman lists its CPVC angle stop, 10729LF, with a CPVC inlet and lists iron-pipe, sweat, PEX, press and compression inlets under other part numbers, so match the inlet to your pipe and follow the maker’s instructions.
For a standard replacement with a push-to-connect inlet, the SharkBite Max UR23036 is the easiest recommendation because SharkBite documents its rating, materials and listings. The EFIELD 10-Pack is the bulk option for a remodel or several fixtures at once, with the caveat that its details come from the listing only, and the Eastman Multi-Turn 04348LF fits a home that already uses that style, once you have confirmed what the listing includes.
Beyond a standard swap, the Eastman Quarter-Turn CPVC 10729LF is the valve for CPVC stub-outs, and the SharkBite Washing Machine Angle Valve is sized for a washer’s 3/4 in hose. For whole-house options, our water shut off valves review covers that category, and our push-to-connect fittings review covers the fitting type broadly.
The manufacturer details in this review come from these pages and documents; EFIELD details come from their Amazon listings because no manufacturer page was found:
